Your role

The candidate will be part of a team of 7 professionals based in Singapore, focusing on the energy markets in South East Asia and South Asia. He/She will work closely with the teams in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Mumbai, as well as a regional team in South-East Asia. He/She will also work with other areas of banking such as client coverage, loan syndication, sustainable finance, debt capital markets, credit risk management, and market risk management.

Transaction support to the relevant deal team leader in the Energy Finance team on advisory and arranging mandates, including:

  • Financial modeling and analysis of financial projections
  • Review of various documentation, including information memorandum and finance documents
  • Review of various due diligence materials
  • Assisting in the preparation of credit risk analysis, credit applications, and other internal approval requests
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations and pitch materials for clients, including contributions to client pitches themselves

Support for origination and marketing, including:

  • Research on companies, markets, and industry trends,
  • Preparation of marketing materials, and
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals and pitchbooks

Support on transaction monitoring and compliance aspects, including audit exercises.

Salary & benefits

When factoring in bonuses and additional compensation, a Graduate Trainee at Société Générale can expect to make an average total pay of SGD 42,000. The benefits include the most basic healthcare insurance and 21 days' leave for trainees. However, for full-time employees along with the basic benefits, some Flexi benefits are also provided.

About you

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering, potentially with a specialization in Finance.
  • Ideally, you have past experience in a project finance team, otherwise in financial analysis.
  • Internship experience in the energy sector or a dedicated finance team preferred

  • Ability to perform financial projections and credit analysis
  • Keeps abreast of evolving industry trends and market updates in Finance and Energy sectors in the Asia Pacific region
  • Analytical skills and ability to rationalize and communicate complex scenarios
  • Ability to cope with workload pressures with short deadlines
